Changelog

What's new in each version of Tare.

v2.0.0

Coming Soon

Workouts

  • Workouts, in beta. Log your strength training in Tare: sets, reps, weight and a rest timer. Turn it on in Profile → Workouts; it needs iOS 26.4
  • A plan that knows what you trained. Up Next builds today's session for your gym, your goal, your split and the minutes you have, around the muscles that have recovered — and tells you why. Or save your own workouts and start one in a tap
  • Rest from the Lock Screen. The rest timer runs on the Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island, with Log set and Skip rest right there. On Apple Watch the Workout page shows the set you are on — tap Done to log it
  • Over 600 exercises. Download the exercise library for how-to animations. A figure — male or female, your choice — shows the muscles each workout works
  • Records and history. Every workout keeps its sets, with your best weight, best reps and estimated one-rep max per exercise
  • Bring your history with you. Import your workouts from Fitbod. Workouts recorded on Apple Watch appear in History too, and with exercise credit on, a workout's calories count toward your day

v1.22.2

Latest

Other Improvements

  • Copy to another day. Long-press a food, a logged template or a meal's ⋯ menu, choose Copy to, then Another day… to pick any date and meal. The copy keeps its time of day and its water, and a banner takes you to it in one tap. Or choose Copy, move to any day, and Paste into any meal — as many days as you like, from the strip at the bottom of the Log or a meal's ⋯ menu

Bug Fixes

  • A copy made with Copy to now reaches Apple Health like any other logged food

v1.22.1

Other Improvements

  • Ask AI links carry more. When you open ChatGPT or Claude for a week, the link now keeps your weight, supplements, fasting and expenditure and shortens the food list instead. If a link still has to leave something out, the sheet tells you what
  • The week's weight line now shows your trend weight beside the weigh-ins, and a day shows that day's weigh-in and trend
  • Supplements are listed by name with the days you took them, and the average daily goal shows all four macros
  • More complete nutrients for generic foods. Over 200 foods in the built-in database, baby spinach among them, now carry the vitamins and minerals USDA measured on their closest match instead of a dash. Values you already have are never replaced. Foods you logged before, and the recipes and meals built from them, gain the missing nutrients too, so Reports for past weeks read right

v1.22.0

Ask AI about your day, your week or your workouts, in the assistant you already use.

Highlights

  • Ask AI about your day, your week or your workouts. Choose Ask AI… from the day menu in the Log, the row in Reports or the exercise sheet: Tare writes a prompt from what you logged and opens it in ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Grok, Perplexity or Meta AI. ChatGPT and Claude open in their apps when you have them; the rest open on the web
  • You read the whole prompt before it leaves your phone. Your profile and body figures stay out until you switch them on, and Copy and Share hand the same text to any app

v1.21.2

Other Improvements

  • A nutrient's detail sheet, in Reports and in the Log, links to its page on supp.fit: what the vitamin or mineral does, the studies behind it and which supplements close the gap

Bug Fixes

  • A nutrient opened from Reports showed the whole range's total against a single day's target when it was already on target, so magnesium over a month read 12,127 / 420 mg. The target now covers the same days as the total

v1.21.1

Bug Fixes

  • Reports fills the screen after you turn the phone to landscape. It used to stay at portrait width, centered

v1.21.0

Highlights

  • Mark a day as untracked. From the day menu in the Log. Reports averages and the weekly check-in skip it, while its entries stay on the day and Apple Health keeps what was logged
  • Reports charts the nutrients you choose. Fiber, added sugar, protein, carbs, fat or sugar beside calories, over the same 1, 3 or 6 months. Tap Choose charts… in Reports; the list is yours and syncs with iCloud
  • A copy of a scanned food keeps its cup. Edit a copy of a “1 cup (28g)” label and the copy still offers cups. Labels written “28g”, “½ cup”, “2/3 cup” or “1 1/2 cups” are read too

Bug Fixes

  • A serving stated as a weight with a space, “30 g”, opened as thirty servings of one gram. It opens as one serving of 30 g now, and rows logged before are relabeled to match without changing their weight
  • The weekly check-in read a day with nothing logged as a day you ate nothing, which lowered its estimate for anyone who skipped a day. Skipped days are left out now, and the check-in asks for seven logged days in the last four weeks before it adapts

v1.20.0

Highlights

  • One Add per meal. It opens the search. Pick a food, or type your own entry two ways: the keyboard button in the toolbar beside the barcode scanner, or the “Enter calories for …” button that appears above the keyboard as you type, with the name already filled in
  • A typed row is a row like any other. Tap it to change its name, calories or macros, the way an exercise row already works. Recent names come up as chips while you type
  • Match a typed row to a real food. From its edit sheet, choose Match to a food… and pick one. Your calories stay and the portion is worked out for you; correct it if the plate was bigger
  • Exercise rows in your order. Hold a row and drag it, or choose Reorder from the section's ⋯ menu

Other Improvements

  • The Calories field looks like a field. On a food row it draws the same box as the amount, so it reads as editable before you tap it

Bug Fixes

  • A logged template put its rows in a random order instead of the template's
  • A typed entry reached Apple Health only after it was edited; it is saved on logging now

v1.19.1

Exercise and the Log

  • The Exercise section folds. Tap its heading like a meal's; the day's credit stays on the heading while it is folded
  • Every meal is a card. Its name, calories and macros sit inside the card, so a folded day reads as a stack of cards like Calories and Water above it
  • Sections start the way you want. Profile → Appearance → Log sections: Expanded or Collapsed. A tap still opens or closes one heading for the day
  • The calculator on the exercise sheet. Calories burned and Minutes have the calculator key beside Done, for sums like 20+15

Reports

  • Reports scrolls smoothly. Its cards are built once and kept, and the charts at 3 and 6 months draw fewer marks, so scrolling back up to the weight and TDEE charts no longer stutters

Other Improvements

  • Coming back to Tare is smooth. On a return from the background or an unlock the screen is drawn first; the Health imports, the widget refresh and the rest of the housekeeping wait a moment and run only when something changed

Bug Fixes

  • On iOS 26, the second row of suggested exercise names could not be tapped while the keyboard was up

v1.19.0

Highlights

  • Exercise raises the day's budget. One setting, three modes: Off, Activity (the Apple Watch surplus, as before) and Exercise, where every session counts in full — sessions you type, and workouts from Apple Health. A typed session is saved to Health as a workout, and Health workouts appear on the log by themselves
  • Reports is the third tab. Today's expenditure and the weekly review sit at the top of it, and your targets moved to Profile → Goals
  • Labels that read at arm's length in light mode. Captions, meal names and the water card are darker on white, matching the dark-mode change in 1.18
  • Type the calories, get the portion. A Calories field on the log and edit sheets: enter 250 and the amount becomes the portion that is 250 cal, with protein, carbs and fat rescaled to match. The calculator key is on that keyboard too
  • Rows in your order. Hold a food row or a template and drag it within its meal, or choose Reorder from the row's long-press menu or the meal's ⋯ menu for a sheet with handles. A logged template moves as one, and the order syncs. The same drag works in the recipe and template editors

v1.18.0

Import a recipe from a link, scan on the Foods tab, a calculator on every amount keyboard, and units that can differ for water and the scale.

Highlights

  • Import a recipe from a link. Foods → Recipes → + → Import from Link. Tare reads the page's ingredient list, matches each line to a food, weighs the amounts and marks what to check. The page's serving count and calories sit beside Tare's own, and the recipe remembers where it came from. Pages in English, Russian, Ukrainian, Polish and Spanish
  • Scan on the Foods tab. A barcode button beside the search on My Foods keeps a product without logging it. A network hiccup no longer marks a barcode as not found for a day
  • One line about where the numbers come from. The search row and the food sheet say the same thing about a food: Verified · USDA for lab-analysed generic foods, Label data · USDA for packaged products, Open Food Facts · community data
  • Units per group. Profile → Units lets water and body differ from the main setting — grams for food, fl oz for water, lb on the scale. Same as main is the default, so nothing changes until you choose
  • Where the water came from. A recipe's or template's Water total names the ingredients that supplied it, and a recipe's log sheet shows water per 100 g and per serving

Other Improvements

  • Share a recipe or template from its editor. The ⋯ menu beside Save sends it as a .tare file, the same way a food shares
  • Smoother everywhere. A full day of meals scrolls without stutter, a tap no longer reloads the log half a second later, and launch no longer waits on Apple Health import history
  • A calculator on the amount keyboard. Tap the calculator key above the keys, type 320 − 140 or 3 × 45, and Use puts the result in the field. It works in every amount field — logging, recipes, templates, drinks and Quick Add
  • Quick Add beside Add food. Every meal's last row now offers both, so calories from a menu go in without opening the ⋯ menu
  • Labels that read at arm's length in dark mode. Calories, macros, meal names and the water card's captions are brighter, so the log no longer fades into its background
  • The log opens on today. Leave the app on today's log overnight and it follows the clock in the morning. A day you picked yourself stays where you left it
  • Edit your own food from the log screen. Edit on a searched food makes a copy that is yours, and that copy now has its own Edit right there, so a mistake is fixed before you log it

Bug Fixes

  • Adding an ingredient to a recipe, template, drink preset or supplement closes the search in one motion instead of two
  • Editing an ingredient in a recipe or template opens at its stored amount the first time, not at the food's default
  • Portion weights are per one unit: a teaspoon of baking powder weighs one teaspoon and a cup of salsa is no longer doubled. Foods you searched before are corrected on launch
  • Quick Add accepts a comma as the decimal separator on keyboards that type one
  • Starting the free trial unlocks the app the moment the purchase sheet closes, without relaunching
  • Every swipe-to-delete in the app moves the same way
  • A meal, water or supplement logged on another device shows up within seconds, without relaunching or pulling to refresh
  • A goal or profile change arriving from another device no longer replaces numbers you are typing
  • Deleting a meal category by swipe no longer crashes the app

v1.17.0

Caffeine and alcohol join the nutrients Tare tracks, six nutrients get a limit instead of a target, and coffee, tea and soda count toward your water straight from the card.

Caffeine, Alcohol and Drinks

  • Free to try for 7 days. Then one payment unlocks Tare for good — no subscription, ever. If you already bought Tare, you keep everything and nothing changes
  • Caffeine and alcohol are tracked nutrients. Searched foods bring them in, your own foods and recipes take them, and both sync with Apple Health
  • Limits, not only targets. Caffeine, alcohol, saturated fat, trans fat, cholesterol and sodium each have a cap you set in Goals, and Reports shows what is behind or over
  • Your drinks on the water card. Coffee, tea and soda count toward your water at their real water content, one tap from the card
  • The calorie card shows what you choose. Up to six nutrients in your order — caffeine, alcohol, or any vitamin or mineral

v1.16.0

My Foods becomes the foods you keep — searched or made — and a recipe, a template or a whole list can travel to another Tare as a file.

My Foods

  • My Foods holds the foods you keep. Your custom foods as before, plus any searched food you save or star. Tap a searched food in the Foods tab to see its nutrition at any portion, then Add — nothing is logged
  • A kept food ranks with your own. Searching from the Log tab or a recipe puts the foods you keep at the top, with the network's copy folded into your row — and they answer offline, which a searched food never did
  • My Foods, before you type. The Log tab's search lists up to eight kept foods beside Favorites and Recent
  • One food screen. A kept food opens the same screen logging uses — portions, macros, micronutrients — with Share, Edit a Copy and Remove from My Foods in its menu. A custom food's editor gets the same Share
  • Names in your language. A kept generic food is listed under its translated name, and either name finds it

Sharing

  • Share a recipe, a template or a food with another Tare. Long-press one in the Foods tab or the daily log, or share a whole list from the Foods tab header, and send the file over AirDrop, Messages or Files
  • Open a shared file and pick what to keep. Tare shows what's inside, ticks what's new and points out what you already have. Foods you receive land in My Foods; a recipe's ingredients join quietly, as they would from a search

v1.15.0

Tare speaks Spanish, and you can log without opening it: water and supplements from a Home Screen widget or from your Apple Watch, with your fast at a glance on the wrist.

Tare in Your Language

  • Tare in Spanish. The whole app, food search and the App Store listing — the same pass Russian, Ukrainian and Polish already had

Log from Your Home Screen

  • Log water from your Home Screen. A new widget with two quick-add buttons — tap, and today's total updates in a blink, without opening Tare
  • Check off supplements from a widget. Today's checklist on your Home Screen, one tap per supplement — and a widget can show a single timing group, so a morning one and an evening one can sit side by side

Tare on Apple Watch

  • Log water from your wrist. The watch app gains a Water page with the same two quick-add buttons as the daily log. A tap reaches your iPhone in under a second and today's total follows — and a tap made out of range is delivered the moment the phone is back
  • Check off supplements on the watch. Today's checklist in the same groups as the daily log. A tap marks the supplement taken on your iPhone and in Apple Health, exactly as a tap in the app does
  • See your fast at a glance. A Fasting page shows the running timer, your target, a progress bar and the body stage you're in, and says “Goal reached” once you pass the target
  • The calorie complication opens Tare on Today. One tap from the watch face lands on the day's figures rather than on whichever page was last open

Other Improvements

  • The watch shows your figures from its first open. A freshly installed watch app asks your iPhone for today's numbers instead of waiting for the next change, and says “Waiting for iPhone” until they arrive

v1.14.1

Supplements

  • Supplement reminders skip a day you've already finished. Check off everything in a group before its reminder fires and that day's alert stays quiet — it returns the next day

Other Improvements

  • The item-icons switch now says what it does. Its note in Profile reads that the icons you set sync to your other devices, and that showing them is a per-device choice

v1.14.0

Your soups and shakes now count toward hydration, and your lists get a face: give any food, recipe or template an icon in your own colors — and pick the colors your macros wear on the phone, the widget and the watch.

Water in Your Food

  • A custom food can now include water. Log your soup or shake, on its own or inside a recipe or template, and it counts toward hydration

Icons & Colors

  • Give your foods, recipes and templates an icon. A symbol and a color of your choice, so your lists scan at a glance — and a switch in Profile turns them off again if you'd rather keep the space
  • Pick your own protein, carbs and fat colors. Choose them in Profile → Appearance, and they follow you into the widget and onto your watch
  • Your recipes and templates carry their icons into the log. A logged recipe shows its own icon and a template group shows the template's — recolor either one and every day you already logged it follows
  • Icons work on any food, not just your own. Long-press anything in search, favorites, recents or your daily log — or open the food and tap Set Icon — to give it a symbol and a color that show up wherever that food does
  • Any color, any symbol. Icon presets are a starting point — a color wheel and a searchable catalog of 4,900 symbols sit right behind them, for foods, meal categories and supplement groups alike

Bug Fixes

  • Editing a meal category in light mode no longer hides the Cancel and Save buttons — they now wear the same accent color as every other screen
  • On an iPhone with Display Zoom on, the daily log no longer draws wider than the screen and clips at both edges

v1.13.0

Tare now speaks Russian, Ukrainian and Polish — every screen, every number, every reminder, and your Apple Watch too. Food search answers in the language you type, everyday foods answer even offline, and your log keeps the words you saw. Log in cups and slices, copy yesterday in a tap — and trust the smaller numbers: modest activity bonuses now show themselves, and the weight trend measures days, not weigh-ins.

Tare in Your Language

  • Russian, Ukrainian and Polish — the whole app, not the front page. Every screen, sheet, alert, empty state and menu, down to the units beside your macros
  • It opens in your iPhone's language. Install Tare on a Polish phone and it's Polish from the first screen — nothing to find, nothing to switch on
  • Want a different one? Profile → Language & Region. Pick a language and the app changes as you tap it — no relaunch, no waiting
  • Already using Tare in English on a Russian, Ukrainian or Polish phone? Nothing moves under you. Tare asks once whether you'd like to switch, and takes no for an answer
  • New to Tare? Choosing your language is the first screen, before anything else — so setup reads in a language you read
  • Each language is offered in its own name — Русский, Українська, Polski — so the list is readable whichever one you're in now

Numbers That Look Right

  • Decimals, dates and units follow the language, not just the words. 72,5 kg rather than 72.5, ккал rather than cal, and dates written the way they're written where you are
  • Counts agree with their number the way Slavic languages need them to — 1 продукт, 2 продукта, 5 продуктов, and the Ukrainian and Polish equivalents
  • Grams, milligrams and micrograms carry their local symbols, including µg in Polish

Everywhere Else Tare Shows Up

  • Your widgets, Lock Screen fasting timer and Apple Watch all speak the same language the app does — including when you've overridden it, rather than only when your phone changed
  • Supplement and fasting reminders arrive in your language, and change with it
  • Your meal categories and supplement timing groups translate with the app. Breakfast becomes Śniadanie and stays yours — including the hidden Other section, and including categories you've reordered
  • Anything you typed yourself — your foods, recipes, meal names, notes — is left exactly as you wrote it. Tare translates its own words, never yours

Search in Your Language, Offline Too

  • Type «гречка», get buckwheat. Food search now works in Russian, Ukrainian and Polish — everyday foods answer in your language, and the names people actually use find the food they mean
  • Results answer in the language you typed, not the language of the app. Search «Гречка» from a Russian keyboard on an English phone and the results read in Russian; type "buckwheat" and they read in English — whatever your settings say
  • Thousands of everyday foods now live inside the app, with their full nutrients — so eggs, oats and chicken breast answer instantly, even in airplane mode
  • Your favorites, recent foods and suggestions show their names in your language too — not only fresh search results
  • "Bone broth", "chicken soup" and other shop words now find a food instead of nothing — the reference vocabulary they were missing from predates them
  • Branded products found in English can show their names in your language, translated entirely on your iPhone — nothing you type is sent to a translation service. This works quietly when your iPhone already has Apple's translation models; Tare never asks you to download one

Log Faster

  • 1 cup, 2 slices, a medium egg. Everyday foods now offer household measures, not just grams — and Tare remembers the unit you last used for each food
  • Those measures speak your language too. «Стакан», «ломтик», «штука» — the unit picker for everyday foods reads in Russian, Ukrainian and Polish, long prose portions included. Anything you named yourself stays in your words
  • Your log keeps the words you saw. Log «Гречка, варёная» from a Russian search and that is what your day says — not the database's English name behind it
  • An empty day offers yesterday. Open a day with nothing logged yet and one tap copies the previous day's meals
  • Keep assembling the same meal by hand? Tare points at Save as Template — once, and never again after you've seen it. Same for a recipe-sized list of ingredients
  • Checking off supplements stays fast however many you take, and however long your streak history grows

Truer Numbers

  • Small activity bonuses stopped hiding. A +30 cal day used to raise your calorie target while nothing on screen said so. The chip now shows it quietly, and the Goals row explains it — today's activity beside your typical day. Bigger bonuses stay green, exactly as before
  • The weight trend now counts days, not weigh-ins. Two weigh-ins in one day, or a sparse imported history, used to bend the trend line and the expenditure estimate built on it. The chart also says what it's doing — a smoothed average deliberately lags today's weigh-in — and no longer clips a weigh-in off the plot
  • The label scanner refuses impossible numbers. A per-serving column read as per-100 g used to store a 1,700-calorie chocolate bar without comment; a value no food can reach is now flagged at the door instead of saved. Non-English labels' per-100 g columns read correctly too

Bug Fixes

  • Renaming a supplement timing group left its reminder announcing the old name. The reminder was written when you first switched it on and nothing rewrote it — so a group you'd renamed months ago still called itself by its original name every evening. It now says what the group says
  • Supplement reminders kept firing for a timing group you had emptied. A group with nothing left in it now stays quiet
  • Deleted default timing groups and meal categories could quietly come back after a sync. Deleted now stays deleted
  • Switching a food's amount unit kept the number. 100 g became 100 oz, and the calories jumped with it. The amount now converts along with the unit
  • Saving an edit to an entry with no food behind it — an Apple Health import, or a food you'd since deleted — could corrupt the entry. It saves cleanly now
  • A few cached foods still carried vitamin D forty times too high from the old unit mix-up. They're now corrected against the app's built-in food data
  • The Other section — the one that appears when a supplement logs food into your day — kept the language it was created in after you changed languages. It now follows along with the rest
  • A handful of foods in the built-in database claimed negative carbs — an artifact of how their source subtracts fiber. Impossible values are now refused at the door, and affected cached foods corrected
  • After a sync created duplicate profiles, Body & Goals could read one while the Apple Health import updated another — so a weigh-in seemed to change nothing. There is one profile again, and every screen agrees on it
  • A sweep of stray English in translated screens: a fasting alert, suggestion badges, recipe units and a few portion labels that printed their stored form instead of their translation
  • A food opened from favorites or a suggestion could show a Russian title over a food you had stored in English. Titles now follow the same rule everywhere: the language you searched in where there was a search, yours otherwise

v1.12.0

Fix a fast that started or ended at the wrong moment, bring calories and water logged in other apps into your day through Apple Health, and see where you stand from your wrist. Plus: sixteen newly drawn app icons, template meals that no longer bury your log, and Open Food Facts search that works again — now unbothered by typos and accents.

Fasts You Can Correct

  • Ended your fast at the wrong time? Tap it and fix it. Adjust when it started and ended — the duration and whether it counts as completed follow along
  • Ended it by mistake? Resume it. A fast you ended today picks back up where it left off, timer and Lock Screen included
  • Forgot to start the timer? Move a running fast's start back to when you actually stopped eating
  • Your recent fasts, in one place. Fasting settings gains a history — tap a fast to correct it, swipe to remove one that shouldn't be there
  • Fasted without the timer? Log a past fast after the fact and it counts toward your streak and stats
  • Your finished fast stays on the Log tab after it ends — even without a fasting schedule, it no longer vanishes the moment you stop
  • Ending a fast under four hours now tells you it won't be recorded, instead of quietly leaving no trace

Nutrition From Apple Health

  • Calories, protein, carbs, fat, fiber, and water saved by other apps now flow into Tare. WaterMinder works through Apple Health, and so does any other app that records those values
  • Synced values live in their own Apple Health section with the source app, time, and quantities — never an invented food or drink name
  • They count everywhere they should: daily totals, net carbs, hydration, Reports, insights, exports, and widgets
  • Swipe a synced row to remove it from Tare while leaving Apple Health unchanged. It stays removed after refresh, relaunch, and iCloud sync
  • Tare never writes imported values back to Health, preventing feedback loops and duplicate totals

Tare on Apple Watch

  • A read-only Today dashboard shows calories eaten, remaining or over, macro progress, and the last phone sync
  • Add Tare's rectangular widget to Smart Stack or use the circular calorie ring in a compatible complication slot
  • Calories run from orange to green as you approach your goal and red when you pass it, the same way they do on your phone
  • The Watch keeps the latest snapshot offline and starts a new day at zero against your last known goals

Sixteen New App Icons

  • Green Apple, Plate, Avocado, Carrot, Leaf, Kitchen Scale, Fork & Knife and Nutrition Ring — each one in a dark version and a light one. Every mark is newly drawn, at a size and weight that match across the set rather than each one going its own way
  • The dark icons sit on a lit background instead of a flat one, and the light icons are warm paper — the one thing on a dark home screen that isn't dark
  • Whichever icon you already had stays selected
  • Pick yours on iPhone or iPad from Profile → App Icon, alongside Default, Ocean and Violet

Other Improvements

  • A meal logged from a template now starts collapsed, with its protein, carbs and fat on the header — two of them used to take a dozen rows and bury the rest of your day
  • The micronutrient sheet has a Done button, like every other sheet on the Log tab
  • Expanding the calorie card no longer scrambles it on the way open, and swiping between days now enters from the side it left

Bug Fixes

  • Searching Open Food Facts works again, and it now understands typos and accents. The search it used has been refusing requests for some time, and Tare only ever consulted it when USDA came back completely empty — which almost never happened, because USDA answers most things with something. Open Food Facts is now searched alongside USDA on every query, with its results below USDA's
  • Setting a dietary preference did nothing. The preference saved, the screen showed it, and no suggestion was ever filtered — a vegan asking how to close an iron gap was told to eat beef liver. It now applies
  • Answering your weekly check-in on two devices before they synced left two check-ins for the same day, which counted that day twice in your averages. They now merge, keeping the most recent answer to each question
  • Check-in metrics could appear twice in settings, and twice in the check-in sheet
  • Erasing all data left your widgets, complication and Watch still showing the erased goals and intake

v1.11.0

Tare can tell muscle from fat, so a recomposition stops reading as standing still. Short on protein or fiber? Tap it and Tare tells you what to eat. Supplements can bring their own water with them. Plus: weigh-ins from Apple Health arrive on their own, vitamin D reads correctly, the B vitamins on scanned products stop coming up blank, and duplicate categories merge back into one.

Telling Muscle From Fat

  • Losing fat while gaining muscle used to read as standing still. With the scale flat, there was nothing to go on — every kilo was priced as fat, so the weeks your training was working looked like the weeks nothing happened. Tare now follows fat and lean mass separately and prices them apart
  • Add your body fat when you log a weigh-in, or let it arrive on its own — a scale that reports body fat through Apple Health fills it in for you, including up to six months you've already recorded
  • Body fat now travels both ways. A percentage you type into a weigh-in reaches Apple Health like your weight does, so it counts wherever else you keep it — and whichever app you last changed it in is the one that wins
  • Your weight chart now carries body fat alongside it. The two share one chart, so whether the weight you lost was fat or muscle reads at a glance rather than needing two screens and some arithmetic
  • Reports gains a Body Composition section — fat mass, lean mass and body fat percentage over one, three or six months, with a chart of how far fat and lean have each moved since the start of the range. Fat falling while lean holds its ground is the shape you're after, and you can see it happening
  • Your weekly check-in and the expenditure breakdown both say when your estimate is reading composition, so you can see why it moved
  • Once Tare knows your lean mass, your baseline burn is worked out from it rather than from height and weight — noticeably closer for anyone leaner or more muscular than average
  • A scale having a bad week can't run away with your targets. Body fat readings drift with hydration, so a reading claiming more muscle than a body can build gets discounted rather than trusted — and Reports tells you it happened and what it read
  • It waits until it has something worth trusting: four weigh-ins carrying body fat, spanning at least two weeks. Until then — and for everyone not tracking body fat at all — nothing about your targets changes

Protein and Fiber Suggestions

  • Tap protein on your daily log and Tare answers "what should I eat to close this?" — the same suggestions you already get for iron or calcium, now for the macro you're actually chasing
  • Fiber works the same way. Expand your daily log's nutrient panel and tap Fiber for beans, oats, berries and whatever else in your own food list closes the gap
  • Your own recipes, saved meals and custom foods come first, ranked by how much of the gap each one closes. A meal you eat every week beats a food you've never logged
  • The gap is measured against your target for that day — including any calories your Watch earned you, and the target you had set on a past day you're looking back at
  • Fiber now shows a target even if you've never set one — the standard recommendation for your sex, the same figure Goals already offered you. It used to sit there with nothing to measure against
  • Already on target? The same tap shows what got you there, ranked by how much each food contributed
  • Carbs, fat and added sugar stay as they are. They're limits to stay under, so there's nothing to close

Supplements That Bring Their Own Water

  • Tell Tare how much water you take a supplement with, and ticking it off logs both. Psyllium in 10 oz, creatine, electrolyte powders, effervescent tablets — the water reaches your day's total, glasses count and progress bar without a second tap
  • Enter the amount in your own units. Unticking the supplement takes the water back out again
  • The water card's undo button leaves it alone — that water belongs to the supplement, not to your quick-add taps
  • It reaches Apple Health dated to the day the supplement was taken, so filling in a day you missed lands on that day rather than today
  • Deleting a supplement clears the water it logged on past days too
  • Mark all as taken and Clear all now handle water and nutrition exactly the way ticking a single row does — previously the day-level buttons recorded neither

Vitamin D

  • Vitamin D from USDA foods was reading about 40× too high. A salmon fillet showed hundreds of micrograms against a 20mcg target, which is why vitamin D so often looked met when it wasn't. Every food now reads in micrograms, so USDA and Open Food Facts agree with each other and with the label
  • Your past days are corrected too. Vitamin D in your history will read lower from now on — that lower number is the accurate one. Meals logged from a recipe keep their original figure, so a recipe logged before this update and again after can differ
  • A few scanned vitamin D supplements — gummies and chewables — may now show no vitamin D rather than an impossible one. Adding one as your own food records it exactly as you enter it

Bug Fixes

  • Weigh-ins from Apple Health now arrive on their own. They only ever came in at the moment you switched the setting on, so a reading from your scale the next morning never reached Tare — the day stayed blank, your trend flattened, and nothing changed until you went back to Settings and turned the switch off and on again. Tare now picks up new readings as you use it
  • Readings your scale sends late — after a few days off Wi-Fi, say — are picked up too, rather than being missed for arriving after the fact
  • Your weight in Profile now follows your latest weigh-in whatever recorded it. An imported reading used to leave it showing the old number. Your targets don't move — those still change at your weekly check-in
  • Correcting your weight twice in one day no longer leaves two entries in Apple Health
  • Opening a weigh-in and saving it unchanged no longer stops that day taking readings from Health
  • Whatever you did last wins, in either app. Type a weight in Tare and it goes to Health; change it in Health and Tare picks that up instead. Correct a reading you disagree with and your correction stands — the newer of the two is the one you keep, rather than one app always outranking the other
  • Weigh-ins you delete stay deleted. Removing one used to leave it in Apple Health, so it came straight back the next time Tare looked. Deleting in Tare now removes what Tare put there — though a reading written by your scale still lives in Health, and removing it there is what clears it for good
  • Weigh-ins reach Apple Health at the time you recorded them, rather than all landing at midnight
  • New readings turn up when you come back to Tare, not only when you reopen the app from scratch
  • Reports is reordered around the questions you actually open it with — what you ate, then what happened to you, then the detail. Micronutrients move down beside the daily breakdown, and your expenditure estimate now sits just under the weight trend it's worked out from, instead of above it
  • The End Fast button on the Live Activity now ends your fast — from the Lock Screen or the expanded Dynamic Island, even with Tare force-quit. The activity dismisses and the session is saved as ended
  • "Foods to Aim For" no longer lists the same food several times: the food cache builds up an entry each time a database relabels a product, and those now collapse into one — including entries filed under a different brand name or a slightly different spelling
  • Suggestions no longer promote a food whose label states an impossible amount, like a pudding cup claiming five days' vitamin D
  • Lab-measured foods you haven't logged yet are badged verified in nutrient suggestions, matching how search already marks them
  • Your custom foods, favorites, and anything you've logged are never hidden from suggestions by that clean-up
  • Scanning a barcode you've corrected now always returns your version, rather than depending on which entry the database happened to return first
  • Logging a food from a nutrient sheet updates your day straight away — the bar you just acted on used to sit unchanged until you left the screen
  • Acting on a suggestion while looking at an earlier day now logs the food to that day, not to today
  • Thiamin, riboflavin, niacin and folate came up blank on every scanned product. Tare was asking for them under names Open Food Facts doesn't use, so all four showed a dash, counted for nothing, and kept scanned foods out of the suggestions for those four gaps. They read correctly now, and a one-time pass fills them in for products you've already scanned — including inside your recipes and saved meals
  • Two sets of Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner and Snack could appear on a new device when your own categories arrived a moment after Tare had set up the defaults. Duplicates now merge back into one, keeping your icon, color and time range, and your logged meals and saved meals move across with it
  • Duplicate supplement groups — a second Morning, Night and so on — merge the same way. Your supplements move to the group that stays, and a reminder set on the other one moves with them
  • Water and meals you remove in Tare are now always removed from Apple Health. Deleting something moments after logging it could leave the entry behind in Health, where Tare could no longer see it to remove it. The water card's undo button never removed anything from Health at all
  • Editing a logged meal no longer risks dropping it from Apple Health entirely
  • The impossible-label screen now covers your recipes and saved meals too, not just foods — a misprint copied into a recipe no longer ranks first for that nutrient

v1.10.0

Your Apple Watch starts paying you back — big days earn extra calories, and your first targets come from your real activity history.

Activity Bonus

  • Out-move your typical day and Tare adds the extra calories to today's target — a hike, a long ride, or a hard session counts the moment it happens
  • Quiet days stay quiet: your target never drops on a rest day, and nothing changes on an ordinary one
  • Tap the new Watch chip on your daily log to see the math — today's activity, your typical day, and the calories you earned
  • Bonus calories flow into your carb and fat targets too, with protein held steady
  • Turn it on in Profile → Smart Features — works alongside Adaptive TDEE

A Smarter Starting Point

  • New to Tare with a Watch on your wrist? Your last 30 days of activity calibrate your starting expenditure, so your first targets fit you before Adaptive TDEE finishes learning

v1.9.0

Search that leads with the food you asked for, and a clear signal of where each number came from.

Better Food Search

  • Search results now lead with the food you actually asked for, instead of every dish that merely lists it as an ingredient
  • See where a number came from: foods analyzed in a lab are marked Verified, and manufacturer label data is labeled as such

Less Noise in Your Results

  • One entry per food instead of five near-identical versions of the same product
  • Branded products tuck behind a "Show more" row, so lab-verified foods aren't buried beneath them
  • A quiet flag when a food's calories don't add up from its protein, carbs, and fat — usually a mistake in the source data

Bug Fixes

  • Setting up Tare on a second device now brings everything across cleanly — no repeated setup, no duplicate meal categories, your targets matching everywhere, and your day filling in as soon as syncing finishes
  • Changing your targets no longer rewrites the past — earlier days are still measured against the goal you actually had then, on the daily log and in your reports
  • Tapping a vitamin or mineral to see its top contributors now works everywhere, including straight from your daily log and for nutrients you've already hit

v1.8.0

Fractions wherever you type an amount, recipes logged by the serving, and a way to see which foods drove each vitamin and mineral.

Fractions & Serving Amounts

  • Enter serving amounts as fractions — type 1/3 or 1½ the way nutrition labels print them, no decimal math
  • Mixed numbers work too — type 1 2/3 with a space, exactly as you'd say it

Recipe Portions

  • Log a recipe by the serving or as a fraction of the whole batch, with the portion math done for you

Vitamins & Minerals

  • Tap any vitamin or mineral to see which foods contributed the most — great for spotting what pushed you over a limit

Bug Fixes

  • Your daily summary now reads "Over" when you pass your calorie goal, instead of a confusing "Remaining"
  • Light mode now renders correctly — cards show behind each tile, and vitamin and mineral names that were invisible on a white background are back

v1.7.0

Water syncs from Apple Health, and the water in your soups and recipes now counts toward your daily hydration.

Water from Apple Health

  • Water you log in the Health app, a smart bottle, or any other app now flows into your daily total in Tare — so your hydration finally matches what you actually drank
  • Your own entries are never double-counted — Tare recognizes the water it wrote to Health and skips it on the way back in
  • Turn it on with the Apple Health toggle in Integrations; recent water is pulled in whenever you open the day

Water in Recipes & Meals

  • Add water as an ingredient to any recipe or meal template — a bowl of soup can count its water toward your hydration in one step, with no separate entry
  • Logging that recipe or template adds the water straight to your daily total; deleting the meal removes it again
  • Enter and see water amounts in your own units — mL or fl oz

Water on the Daily Log

  • Meal templates show the water they contributed right on the daily log, so a higher total always makes sense
  • Edit or remove logged water in a tap or a swipe — change how much a meal counts, or drop its water while keeping the food
  • The water card's undo only removes water you added by hand — it never touches water from a meal or from Apple Health
  • Not tracking water in Tare? Hide the water card entirely from Profile → Smart Features

Bug Fixes

  • Editing a saved meal template no longer drops its other items when you make a change
  • Deleting a logged recipe or meal now also removes the water it added to your hydration total
  • Jumping to Today — or tapping any day — always refreshes the log with that day's entries

v1.6.0

Lock Screen and Dynamic Island timer for fasts, and easier custom food entry from labels.

Live Activity & Dynamic Island

  • Active fasts now appear on the Lock Screen with a live ticking countdown, body-stage label, and progress bar — no need to open the app to check time remaining
  • Dynamic Island support on iPhone 14 Pro and newer — stage icon and timer in the compact pill, full progress bar plus an End Fast button when expanded
  • One-tap "End Fast" button on the Live Activity finishes your fast without opening the app
  • "Overtime" mode kicks in at the target — the Lock Screen timer stays visible and counts up in green so you can track an extended fast
  • The auto-start notification now has a "Start Fast" action — tap it (even hours later) and your fast starts at the originally scheduled time, not when you tapped
  • Older iPhones without Dynamic Island fall back to the Lock Screen presentation automatically — every fasting user gets the at-a-glance timer

Custom Food Entry

  • Enter nutrition directly from the label — new "Per serving" / "Per 100g" toggle in custom food creation lets you type the values exactly as they appear, no mental math required
  • Defaults to per-serving for new foods (matches how labels read), per-100g when editing (matches what's stored)
  • Toggling between modes converts the displayed values automatically so the underlying nutrition stays correct

Bug Fixes

  • Auto-start fasting notifications now reschedule whenever you change your fasting start hour, grace period, scheduled days, or protocol — no more stale reminders firing at the old time
  • Tapping the auto-start notification on a cold launch now reliably backdates your fast to the scheduled time instead of landing on the "Window Closed" screen

v1.5.0

Macro customization, added sugar tracking, and iCloud restore on reinstall.

Macro Customization

  • Protein intake presets — Lower (1.6 g/kg), Standard (1.8 g/kg), Higher (2.2 g/kg) — with full custom values for any ratio in between
  • Lockable macro split — choose Balanced (30% fat), Low Carb (45% fat), or Keto (~8% carbs); the unlocked macro fills the remainder
  • Custom macro values are honored across onboarding, Goals, and weekly check-ins — no more silent reverts to a hardcoded formula
  • Goals row subtitles surface the active selection — "Higher · ≈ 1.0 g/lb" or "Custom · 21% carbs" — so the chip's value sits next to the gram input you're editing
  • Locked vs. derived macros labeled clearly in the Goals form
  • Upgrading preserves your current macro split — the weekly check-in won't try to revert it to defaults

Added Sugar Tracking

  • Track added sugar as a distinct nutrient — daily limit defaults to AHA recommendations (25g for women, 36g for men), editable in Goals
  • Daily calorie card adds Fiber and Added Sugar progress bars beside the macro row
  • Per-food rows in the Daily Log show an Added Sugar chip when the food contributes; meal category headers show meal-level totals
  • Custom food creation gains dedicated inputs for Total Sugar, Added Sugar, and Fiber, presented as sub-rows under Carbs
  • Nutrition label scanner extracts Total Sugars and Added Sugars from FDA labels (post-2020 "Includes Xg Added Sugars" format)
  • Pulled automatically from food databases — whole foods correctly show 0g, and obvious data errors are filtered out. Foods in your library are enriched on first launch; past log entries keep the values they had when you logged them
  • Recipe and template builders show full nutrition breakdown — Total Sugar, Added Sugar, Fiber — per total, per 100g, and per serving
  • 7-day Goal Progress in Reports now includes Total Sugar, Added Sugar, and Fiber alongside macros
  • Visual hierarchy: sugar and fiber render as indented sub-rows under Carbs everywhere they appear, matching FDA nutrition label conventions

iCloud Restore on Reinstall

  • Returning users on a new device skip onboarding entirely — your data flows in via iCloud sync
  • "Syncing from iCloud…" overlay shown while the first sync is in flight, so the app never looks empty
  • If sync hasn't completed after 30 seconds, a "Start fresh" escape hatch appears — for users whose iCloud data was purged via Settings → Manage Storage
  • If iCloud data shows up while onboarding is open, a confirmation prompt asks whether to restore it or use what you just entered — the prompt summarises what's in iCloud (profile, goals, food logs, weight entries)

Data Management

  • Reset All Data — Profile → Danger Zone with typed-RESET confirmation, wipes every record on every device signed into the same iCloud account
  • Remove a logged weight entry directly from the weight sheet — clear the field and the Save button becomes a destructive Remove action

Adaptive TDEE Accuracy

  • Confidence improves only on days you actually log food and weigh in — empty days no longer count toward the 28-day calibration target
  • One-weigh-in users no longer hit High confidence after 28 idle calendar days
  • Auto weekly check-in won't fire immediately after onboarding — requires Smart Features enabled and at least 14 qualifying days
  • Onboarding and check-in now share one macro/calorie formula — no more phantom +1–3 cal deltas in the suggestion screen

Bug Fixes

  • Fasting no longer backdates an auto-start when you open the app past the grace window — shows "Window Closed" with the next scheduled day instead
  • Macro values use rounding instead of truncation, so accepting a 132.7g protein suggestion shows "133" everywhere consistently
  • Toggling metric / imperial in Body Goals no longer drifts your weight, calories, or macros — and saving after just toggling no longer fires the "TDEE inputs changed" suggestion
  • Polish: meal-category deletion no longer crashes from the edit sheet, and the Goals form refreshes immediately after accepting weekly targets

v1.4.0

Vitamin and mineral tracking with personalized food suggestions.

Micronutrient Tracking

  • Track 22 vitamins & minerals — Vitamin A through Zinc, sodium included, plus cholesterol and fat breakdown
  • Micronutrient data automatically extracted from USDA and Open Food Facts APIs
  • Daily summary with pinned nutrients (Iron, Calcium, Vitamin D, Vitamin C) in the calorie card
  • "View all nutrients" sheet with full breakdown grouped by Vitamins, Minerals, and Fat Breakdown
  • Customizable targets per nutrient — defaults to FDA Daily Values, tap any to override
  • Micronutrient preview available when logging foods, editing entries, viewing recipes, and logging templates
  • Custom foods and supplements now support micronutrient input via a dedicated sheet
  • Nutrition label scanner extracts Vitamin D, Calcium, Iron, and Potassium from labels
  • Foods already in your library are updated with vitamin and mineral data automatically
  • Micronutrient columns added to CSV data export

Nutrient Suggestions

  • Tap any below-target nutrient in the micronutrient view to see personalized food suggestions
  • Suggestions ranked by what you actually eat — your recipes and frequent foods first, generic USDA foods last
  • Suggestions favor foods that close the gap fastest and that you eat often
  • Each suggestion shows serving size, nutrient contribution, and percentage of gap it closes
  • Reason badges show why each food was suggested — "recipe", "12× logged", "custom", or "new"
  • Tap any suggestion to open the logging flow — works for foods, recipes, and templates
  • Evidence-based absorption tips shown per nutrient with links to the corresponding NIH fact sheet
  • Tips on how to absorb each nutrient better, sourced from NIH consumer fact sheets
  • Dietary filtering — set Vegetarian, Vegan, or Pescatarian in Profile to automatically exclude incompatible foods
  • Realistic serving sizes — uses household measures from USDA when available, with caloric density fallback for spices and condiments
  • Gentle professional note shown when a nutrient has been severely below target — never alarmist
  • Nutrients that should never be "suggested more" (sodium, cholesterol, saturated fat) are excluded from suggestions
  • Health disclaimer on every suggestion sheet — for informational purposes only, not medical advice

Reports

  • Micronutrient section in Reports — see daily average intake vs target for all vitamins and minerals across any time range
  • Nutrients sorted by gap severity — worst gaps shown first for quick identification
  • On the 7-day view, tap any below-target nutrient to open personalized food suggestions
  • Longer ranges (14 days to 6 months) show micronutrient averages as a read-only trend — helpful for spotting patterns over time

Legal

  • New Terms of Use page at usetare.app/terms with health disclaimer, data accuracy, and limitation of liability
  • Terms of Use link added to Profile tab in the app

Daily Log

  • Macros now shown per meal category in section headers
  • Long-press entries to move or copy between meals
  • Quick add calories from meal section menu — no food search needed
  • Expandable fiber and sugar totals in the calorie summary card

Foods Tab

  • Filter bar to quickly search within My Foods, Recipes, and Templates

Recipes & Templates

  • Long-press to duplicate recipes or templates
  • Context menu with edit, favorite, and delete actions
  • Micronutrient totals shown in recipe builder (total, per 100g, and per serving)

v1.3.3

Recipe & Template Builders

  • Each ingredient row now shows protein, carbs, and fat — see what every item contributes at a glance
  • Tap or swipe right on any ingredient to edit it with the full nutrition preview, replacing the old grams-only prompt
  • Per-100g and per-serving totals shown alongside per-item nutrition

Food Search

  • Loading spinner appears on food rows while portion data is fetched
  • Larger tap target on food rows — full row width, fewer mis-taps

Bug Fixes

  • Barcode scanner no longer dismisses the recipe builder after a successful scan

v1.3.2

Improved Search Results

  • Generic foods (e.g. "Bananas, raw") now appear above branded variants in search results
  • Fixed an issue where some basic foods like raw chicken breast didn't show up in search results
  • Search results now show calories and full macros (protein, carbs, fat) inline for faster comparison
  • Food names can now wrap to two lines instead of truncating — no more guessing what "Chicken breast, boneless, skinles..." means
  • Custom foods appear at the top of search results, above USDA entries

Barcode Scanning

  • Barcode lookup now falls back to USDA when Open Food Facts doesn't have the product — better coverage for US brands
  • Faster barcode lookups
  • Unknown barcodes are cached for 24 hours to avoid repeated failed lookups
  • Added Open Food Facts text search fallback when USDA returns no results — improves coverage for international products

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed minimum search query length to 3 characters to avoid overly broad results

v1.3

Faster app load times, a nutrition label scanner, and fasting refinements.

Performance

  • Daily Log, Reports, Weekly Check-In, and Insights now load only the data they need instead of every record ever created — dramatically faster for long-term users

Fasting

  • Ending or cancelling a fast no longer re-triggers auto-start when navigating back to the Daily Log
  • Status bar now shows "Ended Early" with fasting duration or "Fast Complete" instead of incorrectly displaying "Skipped Today"

Nutrition Label Scanner

  • Scan a nutrition facts label with your camera to auto-fill macros when creating a custom food
  • On-device OCR via Apple Vision — no data leaves your phone
  • Tap-to-focus for small or close-up labels
  • Review and edit scanned values before saving — handles per-serving to per-100g conversion automatically
  • Supports US Nutrition Facts, EU per-100g labels, and Supplement Facts formats
  • Auto macro mode on iPhone 13 Pro+ for close-up label scanning

Other Improvements

  • Reports dashboard card now adapts label and day count to the selected range instead of always showing "This Week"
  • Expenditure Detail defaults to 30-day view for faster load times
  • Weekly Check-In food logging count capped at 7 days — previously could show 8 of 7
  • Smoother day-to-day transition animation in the Daily Log
  • Adaptive learning hint on the onboarding ready screen
  • Unified target updates through weekly check-in for all goal modes
  • Locale-aware time formatting across all time pickers

  • Tap a fasting protocol again to deselect it and clear its schedule
  • Custom foods now support non-gram serving sizes (capsules, scoops, cups) with smart unit picker
  • Serving unit picker shows parsed household labels (cup, cookie, egg) instead of generic "serving"
  • Fasting setting renamed from "Eating Window Start" to "Fasting starts at" — matches how you think about your schedule
  • Fasting goal reached celebration with "Complete Fast" button — keep fasting or end with a tap
  • Pull-to-refresh on the Daily Log view
  • Edit Entry screen now matches the Log Food layout

Bug Fixes

  • Numeric input fields now reject negative values when pasted
  • Disabling Daily Check-In now properly cancels its scheduled notification

v1.2

Adaptive TDEE, intermittent fasting, daily check-in, and correlation insights.

Adaptive TDEE

  • Learns your real Total Daily Energy Expenditure from weight trends and food log data — no activity tracker required
  • Daily weight fluctuations are smoothed into a reliable trend line using an Exponential Moving Average
  • Three-phase calibration: Static Only (0–13 days) → Transition (14–27 days) → Fully Adaptive (28+ days)
  • Weekly Check-In prompts you to review and accept updated calorie and macro targets
  • "Your Week at a Glance" summary shows food logging consistency, fasting stats, energy/mood averages, and water intake
  • Expenditure Detail view with three charts: TDEE over time, weight trend (EMA vs raw), and intake vs expenditure
  • Safety guardrails: minimum daily calories of 1,200 (women) / 1,500 (men), and gradual changes between weeks to avoid swings
  • Confidence scoring (Low/Medium/High) based on data quality and quantity
  • Optional Apple Health activity adjustment — scales daily targets by Apple Watch activity ratio
  • Enable in Profile → Smart Features

Intermittent Fasting

  • Built-in fasting timer with 6 preset protocols: 12:12, 14:10, 16:8, 18:6, 20:4, and OMAD
  • Manual mode: choose a target duration (12–24h or open-ended) when starting a fast
  • Scheduled mode: select fasting days (Mon–Sun) — fasts auto-start when your eating window closes, zero taps required on routine days
  • If you eat shortly before your scheduled fast time, the fast still starts on schedule rather than backdating
  • Armed state shows countdown ("Auto-starts at 9:15 PM") with "Start Early" to begin before the eating window closes
  • Retroactive auto-start: if you open the app after the eating window closed, the fast starts from the correct time
  • Rest day and skipped day states with "Start Anyway" option and next fast date/time display
  • Body status stages: Fed State → Early Fasting → Fat Burning → Ketosis → Deep Ketosis → Autophagy
  • Full-screen timer view with circular progress ring, body stage detail timeline, and elapsed/remaining time
  • Smart fast-breaking: logging food during a fast offers three choices — Break Fast & Log, Log & Keep Fasting, or Cancel
  • Water and supplement check-offs do not trigger the fast-breaking prompt
  • Notifications: "Fast Auto-Started" when eating window closes, "Fasting goal reached" when target hit, eating window opening reminder
  • Fasting history with streak count, average duration, and completion rate
  • Configure in Profile → Fasting

Daily Check-In

  • Quick daily wellness tracker — rate your energy (battery icons) and mood (weather icons) on a 1–5 scale
  • Color-coded from red (struggling) to green (great) — flipped for stress and hunger, where lower is better

  • Retroactive check-in for any day in the past 7 days
  • Data feeds into Weekly Check-In summary, Reports well-being trends, and correlation insights
  • Enable in Profile → Daily Check-In

Correlation Insights

  • After 14+ days of check-in data, Tare analyzes patterns between nutrition and wellbeing metrics
  • Insights appear on the Goals tab: "Days with higher protein tend to have better energy levels"
  • Tap any insight to see a scatter plot with the underlying data points
  • Only meaningful patterns are shown — random noise is filtered out

Enhanced Reports

  • Dashboard card with weekly summary at the top of Reports
  • Adaptive TDEE section: TDEE trend chart with weekly check-in data points
  • Fasting section: duration bar chart, completion stats, and streak counter
  • Well-Being section: energy and mood trend lines over time
  • All new sections appear conditionally — hidden when a feature is disabled, placeholder when enabled but insufficient data
  • Weight trend chart now uses EMA-smoothed data with raw weight points overlaid

Other Improvements

  • Barcode not found → "Add manually" now opens the standard Custom Food form with barcode pre-filled, replacing the old supplement-specific entry. Created foods appear in My Foods and are found on future barcode scans
  • Unified notification settings screen in Profile with all notification types and time pickers
  • Notification conflict detection — staggering and priority-based suppression for overlapping notifications
  • Goal weight milestone notification when your trend weight reaches your target
